Purim 2020 — „By the waters of Babylon , we sat and wept…..“ ( partial reposting )

By the waters of Babylon, we sat and wept….. “ – These words are not about from the song of Boney M. — with these words begins the ancient Psalm 137, as an expression of the oppression and hardship of the Jewish people deported from Zion in the Babylonian (Persian) exile and the destruction of its holy capital Jerusalem by King Nebuchadnezzar II in the 6th century BC.

Today’s Purim festival, which expresses the joy of saving the Jews from their physical annihilation in the Persian exile at the time of King Xerxes ( Ahashveros ) in the end of the 6th century B.C., is closely linked to the suffering of the Jewish people.

The feast of Purim was given its name because Haman, the hater of the Jews and state governor of king Ahasuerus of Persia, let loose to determine the day of annihilation of the Jews.

As a result of the salvation symbolized by the history of Purim, the repatriation of the Jews and the reconstruction of Jerusalem took place after an exile of about 70 years in the time of the Persian king Cyrus.

All eternal-yesterday right-wing enemies as well as all other, primarily left and Islamic enemies of the Jewish people, Today, with increasing intensity and ever new abstruse historical distortions, the meanwhile also on Europe and other parts of the western world and by no means only on the Jews overturned course of conquest of the since its emergence before approx. 1400 years of violently expansive Islam and denying the Jewish origin as well as the Jewish identity of the Jewish capital Jerusalem, are belied by the Jerusalem-related words of the psalm quoted in the picture of this post.

This is evidenced in an impressive way by the date on which the 150 Psalms were written, most of which were written in post-exile times, at least several centuries before our era, and which already express the Jewish identity of Jerusalem there.

In the meantime – after an uprising against the Roman occupation and only 70 years after the new era – the Jews have been exiled again, this time by the Romans and for the duration of almost 2 millennia. The expulsion should be final and the memory of the Jewish kingdom should be erased as completely as possible. The land of the Jews was called Palestine by the Romans, even the name of Jerusalem was erased and the holy city of the Jews was renamed Aelia Capitolina.

Nevertheless, with the founding of the State of Israel in 1948, and despite the indescribable abomination of the Shoah suffered, the Jews once again experienced a miracle of salvation from complete physical annihilation, which is not inferior to the events of Purim more than 2500 years ago.

Notwithstanding the endless suffering and cruel blows of fate suffered by the Jewish people following the dispersal of the Romans in the two millennia of the diaspora, especially in the terrible 12 years of the German Nazi Empire in the last century, neither the Jewish identity nor the membership of the Jewish homeland of Judea, Samaria and Galilee could be destroyed. Contrary to the name Aelia Capitolina, which today hardly anyone knows or connects with the Jewish capital Jerusalem, The name Palestine remained in spite of the most diverse occupation periods and was still synonymous with the land of the Jews until the eighties of the last century.

In the end, it is the same anti-Semites who, not so long ago, called for „Jews to Palestine“ and now renamed the demand into „Jews out of Palestine“.

That the expansionist Islam and the Arabs, with a historical lie and a territorial demand founded on nothing, have come to only temporarily and always illegally conquered Jewish territory and a completely invented Palestinian identity seems to succeed, in our suicidal Western Islam-appeasement politics and the left-wing mainstream media, against better knowledge, global approval of a delegitimization of the state of Israel, cannot be rationally mediated when considering historical references .

In any case, the blatant anti-Semitism and Israelhass of our hypocritical pseudo-goodman establishment, which has always been negated by alibi commemoration for dead Jews, are in the long run not a means of defending our Western fundamental values owed above all to the Jewish heritage before the increasingly and more self-evident demand for superiority in Islam.

Although the relocation of the US embassy to Jerusalem and the recognition of the importance of the Golan for the security of Israel do not yet make a new Purim – but the fun of the Jewish children in the joyful customs of the Purim festival does not detract.

And the protection of its citizens from Islamic terror – despite the perfidious and inhuman Arab terror rocket attacks – is now better guaranteed in Israel than in our individual political cases, which are unilaterally blinded to the Islam-minded speakers, blame-rewriters, perpetrator-victim-reversers and left-ideological pioneers of a selective renunciation of adequate application of law, primarily in the case of Islam-related violence against Jews.

I wish to the State of Israel, its citizens, the entire Jewish people and to all of us a piece of Purim wonder again today.

Especially in this country and in the parts of Western Europe still subject to the disastrous German EU dominance, we will probably need this miracle in the not too distant future more than our climate hysterical, false-ideologized politiciancs try to make us believe with all our security-fading open-border policies and their uniformed opinion massmedia.

To all Jewish and non-Jewish friends a wonderful Chag Purim Sameach.

Am Israel Chai !
